The Technical University of Munich, the University of Exeter, and the Ethical Data Initiative are running a multi-stakeholder workshop on Ethical Data in the Age of XAI at the TUM Think Tank in Munich. The event, which will take place on 9 April, 2024, will bring together experts in AI and data ethics, and international data policy to discuss challenges such as algorithmic decision-making and bias mitigation, while promoting responsible data practices globally.
The Ethical Data Initiative is an innovative and collaborative project aimed at creating a neutral platform via a network of global hubs where discussions related to ethical data practices can take place and be advanced. The workshop aims to shape the future direction of the initiative and its three pillars: policy and networks, international data ethics education, and stakeholder and community engagement.
“We are excited to host this workshop and bring together experts from around the world to help shape the future direction of the Ethical Data Initiative,” said Professor Sabina Leonelli, Research Director of the Ethical Data Initiative. “The Initiative is committed to promoting responsible data practices globally, and we believe this workshop will be an important step towards achieving that goal.”
There are limited places available. If you would like to register interest in attending the event, you can find out more here: https://tumthinktank.de/event/new-directions-for-global-activities-in-data-ethics/
